Sep 2019 - Jul 2022 University of Bedfordshire

BSc (Hons) Computer Game Development

Key projects overseen and completed during my study include:

  • Procedural Dungeon Creator: As an application of knowledge in Unity and C#, this project used binary space partitioning to create procedurally generated environments.

  • Audio Visualiser: A combination of experience in Unity and C# with the introduction of shader graphs, this project achieved environments that changed in real-time to reflect audio.

  • FPS Project: Focusing on Unreal Engine 4 applications through C++ and Blueprints, this was a multifaceted project collated and showcased various game design and technical principles.

  • 3D Environment: Using a combination of Blender and Unity, this project created dynamic and expansive digital renders of 3D environments that could be explored.

  • Global Game Jam: Under the year’s theme of "Duality", this project developed a 2D side-scroller based on time and memory mechanics, refining puzzle design skills.

  • Catch Rate Calculator: Based upon Game Freak’s Pokemon Sword and Shield released in 2019, this project tested Unity and C# expertise and programming capabilities.

  • Visual Novel: Created using the Fungus Package within Unity with assets designed in Photoshop, aiming to test storyboarding, structure, and decision-based game design.

Aug 2017 - Aug 2019 Fenwick

Loading Bay Operative

As a Loading Bay Operative, I was tasked with managing all the goods for the store, including the unpacking and loading of any deliveries that arrived. For this, I communicated with my colleagues and customers to ensure the right products were received and dispatched on time. I relied heavily on my organisational skills to ensure that the goods were correctly labelled, sorted and stored.

Jul 2017 - Aug 2017 NCS

Volunteer at Norwood

During my time at NCS, I volunteered to assist Norwood Charity with a project to renovate a school garden for children with learning disabilities. I was elected as a team leader by my peers, and we collaborated to fundraise the necessary funds to purchase gardening equipment and supplies.

As the team leader, I communicated with the charity representatives. I worked alongside my colleagues to ensure that each member’s strengths were utilised and that the tasks were completed on time and to the required standard.
